About the Book
Some of the recipes in this cookbook are very basic with only a few ingredients; and others are polished with meats, seasonings, vegetables, fruits, milk products and more. You will never forget how it prepares you for your holiday breakfast, lunch, dinner and party favorites. As you thumb through this one-of-a-kind cornbread recipe book, you will find over 90 recipes. Easily read and easily followed with the recipes with numbered preparation steps for making cornbread from all over the southern US.
My personal experience with cornbread recipes was with country-wide travel and familiar family recipes. In visiting homes and local restaurants, I found that many states have old and familiar recipes: Kentucky recipes combined deep southern ones with some of those found from mountainous regions of the Virginia(s); South Carolina sweetens its recipes by adding the influence of Florida citrus fruits and vegetables; Texas and Louisiana each has its own specialties; and, the other southern states have special flavors as well.

When reaching out to get an understanding of sexual harassment, publishing this book identifies that the definition does not lend itself to occurring only in the workplace–although first decided by federal government law and established for employers. The government's resolve is that sexual harassment occurs when conduct is by another that is unwelcome. Unwelcome behavior happens everywhere.
This book is special for me. As a Human Resources professional for many years, I witnessed some of the usual and unusual situations that occur in the workplace. In homes and in other true-to-life situations, there have been situations that have and can astound you.
The behavior of a harasser can occur in many ways and anywhere--sometimes in places where it can be formally challenged.
What am I looking for? I hope that the reader will use the information and examples in this publication to understand sexual harassment in many situations and its usefulness in the content and will share it with others.
Although some of the information in this book may be useful to employers and those in other work positions, it is outlined for individuals, including youth and adults facing or who might face offensive conduct from another person.
The black women featured in this book made a way out of no way–and not just any old way, – but a good way. They got in good trouble long before the phrase “strong black women” that no doubt described southern mothers. These Black women were left behind in the history books, but they refused to quit.
